Mini website for B2B
This project examines the question: what the best structure for the internal marketing department web site would be.
The marketing department that I was supporting at Publicis Media was given an opportunity to create an internal library of the document that would be easily assessable to anyone in organization. Share Point was assigned as a CMS platform for this task.

Difficulty to access to latest versions of existing Product marketing Documentation for the external team members or internal B2B clients
Create a single, easily accessible library source with the latest final versions of documentations.
Visually present content so that users can easily associate the existing content with the search.

Day to day highlights:
Develop deep expertise in set of products to confidently articulate core value propositions, functionality, and benefits to audiences of varied levels
Lead training and enablement activities to onboard new users, explain nuanced functionality and drive continued adoption
Maintain robust suite of product content including presentations, user guides, videos, FAQs and related collateral
Works to translate technical concepts into simple, easy-to-understand messaging and storytelling
Goals:
Needs a quick access and often works with multipage product documentation. Often downloads the documents to work on onboarding or product development projects.
Frustrations:
Final files are not easily accessible on the shared drive. Version confusion.
Rob
Account Manager
Day to day highlights:
Fully understand the client's business including objectives, roles, and concerns
Effectively work with multiple departments throughout project development and implementation
Assist with requirements gathering and documenting, training, client presentations, campaign results analysis, best practices recommendations, optimization and strategic recommendations
Coordinate or lead efforts with cross functional team to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables
Prepare well-organized, clear and concise communications
with decision making stakeholders
Goals:
Needs a quick access and opportunity to review on the go product documentation. Can use a few product documentations for one meeting. Usually looks through one sheets or product decks.
Frustrations:
Multiple documents not easy to navigate through shared drive. No view on product’s sets and their holistic relationships.
With our problem statement highlighted, it was time to start designing a solution.
To define a website map and better present product’s hierarchy we created cards with existing products and lists of all related product content we had at the moment. We had a couple brain storm sessions dedicated discussion of the structure.

Once the site map was defined we discovered some limitations for the visual tools that existed at our CMS platform at that time. Appliance of top navigational bar could not be changed at that time, so we proceeded with the side menu for the main navigation.
For this project we skipped prototypes stage and moved to the design of UI elements. Look and feel of the mini site needed to be aligned with corporate brand guidelines. So we limited our color palette to the Publicis brand colors.
